Taylin Collins and Its Krunch Time were crunching on the competition in the Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle Maturity. Their win kicked off the added money classes at the 2026 Madness, being held April 30-May 10 at the World Equestrian Center-Wilmington.

Taylin showed her nine year old gelding by Extremely Hot Chips and out of Huntin For A Cowboy to the win. “His name is Krunch, and I’ve had him about a year,” Taylin explained.

“He’s beautiful, and he has such a personality. He’s the sweetest horse. He’s perfect in all aspects, and when I got on him for the first time, I knew he was the one. He’s made all my dreams come true so far.”

Taylin was pleased with her go with Krunch in the class. “I loved our first trot,” she said. “He was very up with my legs, very floaty, very pretty. I loved the way he sat in my hands. I also loved that they made us trot off the second direction instead of canter first. I felt like that was really good for his mind and my mind and made him listen so well.”

The duo earned three first place spots among the judges to secure their win. “I was so nervous when they started the judges’ placings,” she said. “When we won under the first judge, I thought ‘oh my gosh this is crazy’ and then I was in the middle on the second card, then I got first again, and then first again and thought, ‘oh my gosh, that’s three!’”

As Taylin completes her final year in the Youth division, she looks forward to competing in All Around classes and working toward the AQHYA World Championship Show. “We’re having a fun last year of Youth,” she said. “We were reserve world champions in Hunter Under Saddle last year, so it would be so great to go out with a world championship this year.”

Taylin and Krunch have a busy summer as they compete in Halter, Showmanship, Trail, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation. Congratulations and continued good luck to this talented duo!
