The National Snaffle Bit Association Foundation has welcomed Erika Jobe, of Weatherford, Texas, to the role of development manager at the NSBA Foundation.

“The mission of the NSBA Foundation enticed me into the role,” Erika said. “I had a relative who passed away several years ago in a horse-related accident, and seeing how the horse community rallied around her family was just beautiful. That experience, and just seeing the breadth of programs that the association offers to make the world better was also a big motivation.”

In her new role, Erika will lead the NSBA Foundation’s fundraising, relationship management, and outreach efforts and develop strategies to enhance the Foundation’s mission-driven initiatives, expand community engagement and secure vital funding. Erika will work closely with the association’s leadership to craft proposals, manage donor relationships, and oversee fundraising campaigns across multiple platforms.

“I’m looking forward to developing new relationships and introducing the Foundation’s work to new audiences,” Erika said. “Because I don’t come from a horse background, I’m excited to look at our programs and processes from a different perspective.”

“Erika brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help elevate the Foundation in its next chapter. We are very excited to have her on the team and look forward to introducing her to our membership,” noted Stephanie Lynn, NSBA executive director.

Erika comes to the NSBA Foundation with 25 years of donor cultivation, fundraising and development experience in the non-profit industry. Her past experience includes roles in donor development in the healthcare sector as well as Director of Community Engagement and Resource Development for the YWCA of Fort Worth and Tarrant County; Executive Director, Associate Executive Director and Marketing Coordinator roles at the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth; and Director of Development and Marketing at The Parenting Center. 

In addition, Erika has worked in financial services, where she recruited, trained and engaged financial service providers to provide financial literacy to clients. She obtained her Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6 and Series 63 financial certifications. Erica graduated from Texas State Technical College with a degree in media digital design. 

Erica and her husband, Mitch, have been married for 14 years. Together they have four adult children as well as four granddaughters. In her spare time, Erica enjoys going to estate sales, gardening, and being outdoors to hike and swim.
